Does anyone have a Tikka T3 lite in .222rem or have handled and shot one.

How does it feed this small cartridge?

Any magazine issues? I assume there is a spacer block in the mag.

Is the bolt pinned so the cycle stroke matches the small cartridge?

Any review that can shared would be appreciated.

Tikkas always seem to feed nicely from the mag. The magazine in my TikTac is molded to length, 2.26" which is the max for a .223Rem, I doubt the .222Rem mag is any different.

As I understand it the bolt shroud is sized to adjust the stroke.

My old Tikka LSA-55 in .222 is as close to perfect as I'll ever need for a sporter. Haven't handled the exact gun you've mentioned, but it will be good.

I had one in a .223. It fed fine and shot great. No issues.

I should have kept it, but I'd rather the walnut one instead.

The feeding is very smooth, magazine is blocked however the bolt stroke is long and does not match the short .222 Remington.

Have one and love it, it is the excact same mag as the 223. I have yet to have feeding issues with the bullets I have used. as with any bolt action you have to learn not to short stroke the action and they will feed reliably. And as far as accuracy goes you will not be disapointed at all:rockOn:

If you were a little farther west i could take you out, I don't think you will be disapointed in the decission to just order one.

I have one in a 222, T-3 lite, Love it!
Shoots great, I have spent very little loading for it, but i recall 19.0 grains of 4198 ( check the manual ) with a 53 gr smk!
It shoots well under a 1/2 inch on a calm day with this load!

I had a .223 T3 1 in 12 twist that I bought from Supercub, sold it and got a Laminated Stainless with a 1 in 8 twist. Shoots 69gr MatchKings into one ragged hole at 100, can,t go wrong with the Tikka. I think they are the best bang for the buck. I would like to have a 22-250 with a 1in 8 twist.

I guess I can get over the long bolt cycle but it would be nice to have a mini-mauser stoke.

I already have 3 rifles in .222rem, I'm not 100% decided yet but boy is this one going to be a hard sell to the better half.:D Luckily I have a way with words.:D
