hey group i have a Tikka T3 Super varmint .308 stainless heavy barrel in mint shape. i was about to trade it off for a lighter hunting rifle and my local gun shop told me today its worth almost double what i thought. what is it worth? it has less than 200 rounds down it and not a mark on the metal or stock.
thx in advance

Regular varmint in .308 is worth $800 to $1000 depending on shape. Super varmints have adjustable chin portion on the stock, picatinny rail and an oversize bolt knob. Besides that they are the exact same as regular Varmints. To the right buyer these would add some cool factor but to most buyers probably not. I love the Varmints have two, one in .308 and another in .223. Cool rifle! Not a lot around I dont think.

Fair Value at that

I could be mistaken but that doesn't look like a super varmint to me. It should have a plastic bolt knob extension, and the rail should be stainless (can't tell for sure but it looks anodized in the picture). If you bought it used I would say someone took a regular Varmint, installed a rail and put it in an adjustable stock.

my thoughts exactly. I don't see the right knob nor the correct rail. Did you buy it used?

IvoB I think you’re missing my point. Somebody might be only willing to pay $200 but I’m trying to find out what the rifle is actually worth From somebody that knows these rifles

i am sure its worth alot just speaking from experience on my end selling rifles, cars etc no mean to offend anyone

Find the right buyer and you might get the $2000 you are looking for. I have had lots of Tikka rifles and none of them have disappointed in the accuracy department, they are great shooters!

i put it up for 1500 or trade. not looking for retail but at least a fair price. hits the same hole at 100 yards. its a shooter for sure!
