I am looking for advice on what factory ammo this rifle likes the most and in what grains. I plan on shooting between 100-500 metres to start with someday I will try for further out to 1km but im still pretty new so ill start short. I havent started reloading YET but I will be in the near future so if anyone also has good hand load recipes that would also be appreciated. Thanks.

What is 23 3/4 ?

That's what he was trying to get from you.

So if it's in 223. Try 69/75 grain bullets

My Tikka T3 Tactical is 308, and it shoots the Hornady 155 A Max Palme Match ammo like a wet dream. Easily 1/2 MOA to 800 meters which is as far as I shoot my 308, I know it goes further, but I have my 284 for that stuff. I think after that distance you will struggle with this ammo out of the23.75" barrel of the Tikka, you would need a longer barrel and higher muzzle velocity I think to get the 155 reliably to 1K.

its all good man im just so used to internet trolls i assume the worse. You were right i did leave out some pretty important details lol it really was my bad xD

The problem is - what works in my gun your gun may not like. So asking what shoots (for factory ammo) best in other guns really isn't helpful. I don't shoot factory ammo so can't even guess. My 30 cals all seem to like bullets in the 160 - 165 grain range, different powders same pills

I Tryed about 10 diff brands of factory and 9 shot like crap. Tryed nosler, hornady ,Barnes reloads and it liked the Barnes and nosler 168,s. The 150-155g shot like crap also. So I went through 10 diff factory and 6 or 7 reloads and 3 diff powder to find a cartridge that the gun liked.

Yeah it goes like that sometimes. When I worked up for juniors 30:06 I tried four bullets and four powders to get the right combination. Both of ours (one T3 and a 700) shot best with the 168 grain Berger though his liked IMR 4350 and mine IMR 4831. The 165 Ballistic Tips were a not too far off second as well

The one I had in .308 but a 20" liked 168 Speer match and Hornady AMAX sitting on 44.5g of Varget.

A good 168g and either Varget or IMR 4064 usually shoots well in .308's in my experience.
