Here's the story. I went to the range last weekend and one of the official tokk out his T3 Tactical, nothing special yet.....

I noticed the stock right away, not exactly standard. It had fairly square forehand and the butt stock was an AR-15 adjustable type.

I inquired about it cause it seriously caught my attention, and the answer I got was surprising.

He told me it was aluminum, which I tought it was probably a MCCree, and then it happened.... he told me he built it out of a patio door step (The bottom channel).

After chatting with the gentlemen later in the day he told me he had no CNC or Milling and no machinist experience. Maybe a friend built it for him but still it looked a lot like production type stock, but I could be wrong.

Made some research and McCree does not seem to have the Tikka action available, the other option I found was PDC but the butt stock is totally different.

Anybody have any clue if this is something standard of he probably had it built?

Cheers

There are tons of aftermarket parts for the t3. What are you looking for?

Manners has stocks for the T3 as does Robertson Composites. Or... Have the front of the action shaved-off, use a regular recoil lug between the action and barrel and use whatever stock you want.

I don't doubt he built it. I've built several wooden stocks, and was actually thinking of making an aluminum one. With the forgiveness of bedding compounds (JB weld anyone) you can do a pretty good job actually. Just take time. Lots of time. Way more time then I expect, every time.
