have an opportunity to pick one of these tikka"s up but cant find many reviews on them and the ones i do find are all good with the exception of the stock.

its a tikka t3 tactical .308, 24" barrel heavy, sako? muzzle brake, detachable mag, adjustable cheek piece, etc.

whats the aftermarket support like for these rifles?

is the tactical stock that bad? ie:flimsy, flexes, slippery?

any info on these would be greatly appreciated

cheers

These have a rather smooth action and good trigger. I compare it to a PGW Coyote.
I would not hesitate to buy one if your looking for something a little cheaper.
Don't feel cheaper. Build quality is good.

Universally well-regarded as far as build quality and accuracy. Limited aftermarket support when compared to ( or is that with ? ) a Remington and a Savage.

My son has one in .223 and I won't even mention group size with his hand loads 'cause it won't be believed anyway . In calm conditions our 12 inch plate at 900 yards presents him little challenge . As far as aftermarket parts , who needs them ? You can find critical talk of the stocks not being stiff enough on the internet posted by those who read the internet . His buddy has one in .300 WinMag and it's an incredible shooter also . Nothing done to either rifle , bone stock with Sightrons on top .

I have a heavy barrel varmit in 6.5 and it is amazing. Shoots tighter than my trg 338. Maybe its me due to less blast and recoil but beautiful trigger and very accurate. For what it cost me i would buy another any day of the week.

Welcome to the club! They are fantastic rifles and the aftermarket (bottom metals, stocks, trigger springs, and rails) really isn't that bad.
