was thinking of getting one in 223rem anyone have any expierience with them ? are they decent and who carrys them in canada and what are they worth ?

I don't have any xperience with them, but they sure look nice. Also, I believe that you have to buy the bipod and muzzlebrake seperate. Russell Sports ( www.russellsports.com ) quotes the rifle for just over $1500, and Wholesale Sports is about the same. Tikkas are nice, but if your just looking for a coyote gun or something similar, I would just buy an older 700. Everyone knows they're good, and parts and expertise are easy to find. As well as being about a $1000 cheaper.

Epps is listing one in 223 and 2 in 308 on their web site. I have two Tikkas and a third on the way - they are great rifles. I have not played with the Tactical model but from all accounts they are excellent right out of the box - I don't think you can go wrong with one.

BTW - how's the leg?

Your Le Baron store in Ottawa carries them. The Tactical is listed $1569 and Varmint for $979. You get your 7% member discount.

I bought the Varmint for a great price at Accuracy Plus - Peterborough. I went for the Varmint as I don't think the $500+ extra can be justified. My average is about 1/2 MOA and shot as good as 1/4 MOA. While it is fun shooting off the bench, the rifle is heavy for carrying.

Do you home work.
