the price is a bit steep, around 1500+taxes, with no optics or real accessories. the mags are plastic and very expensive, around 100$ a pop, now they are tough and will last. i like the action, it is smooth, it feeds smooth locks/unlocks smooth and ejects smooth 8) 8) . it has a threaded barrel for a muzzle brake which is damn fine!! overall i think they are fine toy to get, but pricey is the name of the game. i have never fired the tactical, only handled it, but i have put a number of rounds thru a t3 lite in .270.
you're likely to find that they sell closer to 1700 than 1500. Bolt is SUPER smooth, shoots really really well. If you dont mind spending 1700$ for a rifle without a scope, then by all means, buy the T3 tactical. If its too steep, theres other options out there, like the remington 700P(wich is what i just bought, i wanted a T3 tac too) or a Savage 10fpLE2b or a Winchester stealth 2. Remington also makes the M-24 and the 40-XS, but i guess those are a bit pricier

Are you still going 'yote hunting this winter? Getting my rifle in like 2 weeks. I'd like to accompany you. And if you could, and it would be greatly apreciated, could you teach me how to reload?

+1. I have a T3 Lite in 308 Win and regret not getting the Varmint model. Get the blued version and you basically have the Tactical model sans the muzzle break and rail. I do not think those two things are worth $800, but each to his own.
Either way you will not be disappointed with the T3.
I have a Tik Tac in 308 and it is a nice rifle. It took me a long time to find a load that works well out to 800+ though...
Having said that, I have long since outgrown the "tactical" rifle fascination and have discovered for the same money as you'll sink into a factory TikTac, you can get a custom rifle on a Rem 700 action that will make you leave the Tikka at home for good.
