I have a T3x CTR and want to put an Atlas bipod on it for range use and longer shooting. I'm running an old Harris right now on the sling swivel, I just want a little more adaptability.
I like the Cadex chassis systems, but the weight is killing it for me, as I want this to be a lighter weight rig.
I'm looking at the rail adapter that replace the sling swivel stud and adds a pic rail to the forend. What are your thought on drilling the synthetic stock on a Tikka T3x for the new t-nut and screw? Will is just break when I tighten it up, or will the synthetic have enough pliability to grip the t-nut hard enough?
I have considered just buying the Cadex and swapping back if I want a lighter weight slung hunting rifle. But the price is killer too.
Thoughts?
