Tikka T3X Arctic Scope issue

Hi all ,Im having problems mounting a scope on my Arctic,The rear sight that I dont want to remove is really high and gets in the way,Has anyone found a solution?Other than removing the rear sight.Scout scope an option??Dave

I put a vx3 leupold 3.5-10x40 on my c19 its extra high rings and tho its a little high I find it ok

Extra high rings are easy to find because many people don’t use them. I went with Warne QDs on my GSR because my scope has a massive occular.

Some guys use AR uni-mounts on the Arctic… which is a good idea because you can pop it off if you want to use the sights once in awhile. Should be lots of those hanging around.

I will when I get home in a few days. It's a steyr made for the canadian ranger tryout and has a pic rail and similar rear sight maybe the exact same sight

Hi all, ended up with a Leupold VX scope 3-9x50 1" tube,Tried several rings and ended up using Vortex Hunter rings high mount Which are taller than Warne Maxima extra high rings.Power adj ring sits between the rear sight ears with aprox1-1.5mm clearance.Love the scope but would prefer better rings.Anyone else mounted a scope on you T3X Arctic without removing the rear sight?Dave

Update,Picked up A Vortex Pro 1" Cantilever mount Works great on the Arctic with the Leupold VX Scope.Put it on Backwards and the scope works great ,clears the rear sight and is now tall enough to use a throw lever..

But you can't use the rear sight so what's the point of keeping it on?

Use scope until damaged or knocked out of Zero,Take it off you have back up irons sitting there.Dave
