Remmy 700 SPS and put money into it with aftermarket bits? Have a early Sako 75 and I do enjoy it's quality so even if Tikka is the red headed step child of the factory line, quality should be nice?!? Remlin is a little discouraging but they seem to have upped their game and the 700 is pretty hard to screw up too badly?

What say ye? Which way would you jump and why? Have a pile of hunting rifles and the wife knows it, so trying to stay at the 2K mark minus optics. The .260 is another internal debate in my brain altogether.... ;)

I have good Remington s and good tikka s but I read more dissatisfaction with the REms than the tikka s . If you want somthing different the tikka CTR of mine is outstanding just as it came , I had a bad opinion of the stock but I shoot with and without a bipod and get the same zero and the stock fits me nicely so nicely surprised . The CTR is heavy but handy it's not a Sako but the targets nor the critters could ever tell . My Remington's are good too in every way but everyone has one but have no experience with there budget line . I like the BDL and the 700p models for sure . My $.02

Have you considered looking into a Savage 111? I enjoy my Mark II G (with accutrigger) and have fired another model is .223 (forget which one), and the quality and action are very good for the price.

EDIT: that being said, I owned a Tikka T3 lite in 30-06 and it was by far the nicest handling rifle I've ever shot. Too bad I didn't have a use for it, was just collecting dust in the safe so I sold it.
