I have been looking for a Tikka T3x Ctr 6.5 creedmoor with a 24" barrel for most of the year with no luck. I stumbled across this rifle while browsing sales tonight. It's exactly what I am looking for however, it has a set trigger. I have never had a set trigger before. I understand the concept but was wondering if anyone had experience with a tikka set trigger or this rifle in particular.

Are you able to adjust the normal pull weight at all like a standard tikka trigger?

I’ve shot several. Just tune the standard trigger stage up and only use the set trigger at the range or when you have time. It’s fantastic but like any set trigger needs to be pulled STRAIGHT back. Bad angled trigger pulls can result in misfires. It’s very rare but I’ve seen it.

Yeah, don't sweat it, it's there, you don't have to use it.
Have a few CZ527, ZKK's, set trigger is hair light, at the range it doesn't hit POA with regular trigger zero, hit's high a couple inches, regular trigger is great, not sure why Europeons want or need this feature, they like stuff we don't need or want over the pond here lol

I have two of the CTR SE's . A .223 and a 6.5CM . The factory trigger can indeed be adjusted in the standard fashion . For range use , the "set" option is very nice . I use it all the time . Personally , I prefer a two stage trigger on a tactical rifle , but , there is absolutely nothing wrong with the set trigger . These are very nice and very accurate rifles !

I have used both single and double set triggers. I prefer the single set but rarely use the function as I can adjust the regular trigger pressure to be nice and light for my hunting preferences.
