Tikka T3x... paper clip ejector... why?

Handled a T1x for the first time yesterday, man what a nice rifle. I'd have bought one on the spot had I not known about the ejection issues I've read about people having due to the super lame ejector on the rifle. It literally looks like a thicker than normal paperclip, and on top of that I believe it's embedded in the plastic magazine well. Why Tikka would go through the pains of designing such a fine and accurate rifle, then skimp to this degree on such a crucial part is beyond me.

Anyone here have issue with ejection on theirs? I've seen lots of threads on it, and the fix seems to be bending the wire to a particular shape. Should you break it though, not a cheap part since apparently the whole assembly needs to be replaced.

Yes, the T1X "paperclip" can be an issue sometimes with feeding and ejection. It is not embedded into the magazine well. It is held in place by a single screw and can easily be replaced with some proper wire if necessary without replacing the entire assembly.
I modified mine for better feeding then had weak ejection until I figured out the issue and fixed it. A couple simple bends of the wire is all it takes to make the T1X feed and eject like a dream if that is indeed an issue with a particular rifle. It is not all rifles that have an issue.
Apparently, there has been a redesign and a change to a blade ejector, however, I have not laid eyes on one, so cannot confirm that this is indeed a fact.

The rifles are incredibly accurate for their price range, with a nice smooth action. I like to tinker by nature so I don't mind if there is a glitch or 2 that requires a simple fix.

Mine functions better than any other rifle I've seen at our local matches. I think because of the very smooth/short bolt throw and fairly lose chamber.
It's ammo tolerant but I have yet to find any that's consistently sub MOA.

Mine was a bit lazy ejecting at times, lazy enough to leave the empty in the action.
I started making sure the bolt face was clean (no carbon or soot buildup) and haven't had a problem since. Coincidence? Maybe.
