hi there ive got a tikka t3 varmint in 6.5*55 and i would like to adjust the trigger pull a little lighter and im not sure how to do it. Can anyone help. I want to see if it tightens up my groups. thank you.

I have a Tikka T3 lite & I find the trigger is excellent the way it came from the factory. But maybe I got lucky.

There are a number of factors that affect accuracy, such as barrel bedding, rifling twist, the quality of the scope, how you hold the gun when pulling the trigger , the ammo that you are using etc. If you reload you may want to try some different loads to get better accuracy.

Good luck. The search for the utmost accuracy is the search for the holy grail.

thanks guys

Sorry about that it didn't even occur to me to google it but its nice to have a fellow member give advice. I have come to learn that you can't believe everything that comes up on the searches and i don't want a two and a half hour each way trip to the gunsmith to rectify the problem i created by turning the wrong screw or stripping some obscure part from lack of knowledge. Any of my other guns seem to be common with one of my friends except this one which is also the most expensive.Thats why i asked and i honestly didn't think it was going to be that easy. I guess its just part of being a newbie. Cheers

check ur owners manual... I have a tikka t3 varmint in 6.5x55 as well. remove mag, then using a 2.5mm allen key u can adjust the trigger pull. the owners manual will have photos showing where the screw is located

I'm not gonna tell anyone to grind that screw down a bit to lighten pull, you never heard it here, it's litigation waiting to happen.

trigger is set at 3# from factory.... u can adjust it down to 2# why ud want it lighter then that im not sure

wow. i thought it was just me that liked the factory trigger (and i like light triggers). check manual, turn the key, it has the option to lighten it.
