Time to ditch the BC folding stock

I got it back in 07 or 08, locked up solid, loved it. Now, there is a slight but annoying wiggle when locked open, time to ditch er!
Thinking a copycatting many cgners and going with a hogue stock + ~14" heavy barrel dlask or similar, except it'll be cut for a front sight so I can keep using tech sights.
 
How much weight does this stock actually save over the factory synthetic?

Almost seems to me it would make it heavier, and your right about the hogue. They are nice. I have my third one on order now.
 
i dont think there is any difference in weight is there?

those Hogue's are light as a feather.
im actually surprised they dont float away when you open the box!
 
from what i can see on the internet it looks like the Hogue stock weights (or ship's) at 1.1kgs (2.2lbs)

i have 2 wood stocks sitting in the shop but those wont help us.
and i dont have a synthetic one to chuck on the scale.

anyone have a synthetic one laying around they can weigh?
