The time has come in my life to thin the herd. I've been collecting and shooting mostly milsurps for 40 yrs.
I do know the current values of most of my rifles.
One I really don't have much of an idea on is a NO1 Mk3 Isaphore Arsenal Lee Enfied. I would class it in very good condition (bore, wood and blueing) with a few small dings in the stock. Put a few rounds of cast through it 25 yrs ago. Don't remember much about accuracy.
Before anyone comments I don't do pictures. It will be going to a local Gun Show

Considering we live in the second largest nation in the world. Wouldn't that potentially make it hard to sell those? Not saying don't do local shows, it's a great idea. But I'm sure many collectors nationwide would love to get in on a collection like that. But even so Hope your cool guns find good homes.
 
Too bad you couldn't sell them privately, you would make a lot more money.

Also a shame that the CGN forum community aren't able to have a crack at your collection on the EE, after years of yourself being a member and using it's many resources.

The Ishapore LE should be between $550 and $650.
 
Also, when dealing with Lee-Enfields, it would be good to know the Factory and Year of production. On the SMLE this is under the Bolt Handle, on the Butt Socket.

Reasoning is simple: some years were produced heavily, some hardly at all.

And then there are Royal Ciphers to be considered. I have an Ishapore here, a 1936 with the cypher for King Edward VIII. How scarce is that? Much more common are wartime dates such as my beat-half-to-death 1943.

I've never had much luck at Gun Shows. Lowballs are pretty low...often insulting remarks as well. A lot of overpriced 'Meh' rifles too.
But I do understand the 'Don't want to deal with overly demanding internet buyers' reluctance too.

Looks like 3 lions- over RFI- 1951- No 1 Mk3 with a star

One of the reasons "I'm going local first is I'm not great at assessing bore condition. I really don't want to ship something and the buyer not be happy! Most of my stuff was purchased at shows or from Tradex where I thought I always got value for my money

Also I'm not looking for top buck either. Just a fair price for what it is.

I do have some nice rather uncommon pieces but I want to shoot them at least one more time while I'm still able.

I can appreciate your hesitancy regarding shipping Old Ranger. I have similar grievances. Especially when it comes to milsurps. Best of luck.

Yeah fair share of idiots on EE too. Though I’m always impressed by ads with ‘return for refund if unsatisfied’ clause. Hell, I made a comment on how some aft mkt mags didn’t fit flush with a combined pistol purchase - just as an observation - and seller offered to take it back right away. I had to explain that it wasn’t a complaint/defect, just unexpected lol.

Your No1Mk3 prob $600ish if solid condition. Lees have gone up in value over the last few years for sure.
