I installed a timney 510 trigger into my rem 700.

The problem I am having is with the bolt release 'plate' It doesn't move smoothly up and down on the side of the trigger body. I removed it, cleaned it off and dry lubed it and its a bit better, but still not smooth.

Should I contact timney for a replacement or is this a common thing with an easy fix?

Plate doesn't look bent or twisted, no noticeable burrs.

Thanks

spent some time messing around with the trigger setup this weekend. If I keep the rifle horizontal then the trigger will reset, as soon as the gun reaches about 45 degrees I guess there isn't enough gravity to hold the bolt release down.

I pulled the plate off again and don't see any burrs or bend in it. I am going to email Timney and see if they can direct me to a retailer who can sell me a new plate or see if they can sell/send me one.

Where is your spring?

I have the same trigger in my 700 and the bolt release is a little sticky. I ended up able to tweak the spring just right that it works now, but it look some fiddling.

I've had to bend the tab sometimes to line up and release without binding.
If it's installed correctly try bending it a little
