Hey everyone,
Trying to install a timney featherweight deluxe onto a Zastava M70. Took the factory trigger off, tried the new one in and the bolt would not close. I am trying this without the stock on obviously as I want to work out any kinks before adding the stock to the equation. It would go forward and just towards the end of it's movement, with about 1/8-1/4" to go, it would stop and not go forward anymore despite using a moderate amount of force. Hard to be 100% sure with the scope on (it blocks a bit the view from above), but I was pretty sure the sear didn't have enough room to be able to go forward.
I enlarged the sear hole in the receiver towards the front and a hair towards the back as well. Now the bolt can close, but oh man, it's quite the workout to close that thing. Not sure if I should continue removing metal from the sear hole or if I should look elsewhere for something that's binding...
Anything I'm missing?
Appreciate any advice!
David
