what's my best bet for custom triggers on Rem 700 BDL V.S. rifles? Timney or ? Are they easy enough for the home (backyard) smith to install? I need 5 of them now and will need 2 more later on. Where is the best place to start looking or get them? I have 5 out of the 7 short action rifles available and it's time for me to start playing a little more with these toys. I'm going to be ordering a custom aluminum chassis that these rifles will share when it's their turn on the bags. It's amberdexterus (dam that word, I just can't spell it), right and left hand both so my son's can also shoot them. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

I have a timney # 510 in my bdl. Gunsmith did it while he was pillar bedding the rifle. Have mine set about 2 lbs but may increase it to 3 as it is a hunting rifle.i have heard complaints about the trigger on cgn but have had not issues myself.gonna bed my howa 1500 wood stocked rifle myself soon and haven't decided wether to rework the original trigger or go timney or rifle basix. If I had it to do again though, I would have gotten the original 700 trigger lightened and sved some money.

I put a timney in my 700 last winter. I cant remember the model # of it but it was pretty easy. There were just 2 pins if i remember right that you push out and the whole assembly comes out. There are several videos on the youtube that were pretty helpful for the installation. I got mine from accurate action outta calgary for about $200.
