Timney Triggers For Cz 452

Hi Vic1

My understanding was that the Timney came out with one several months ago but had some problems. They have since recalled the trigger until they can fix the problem. There is typically a time lag between what is available in the US and when we see them. In this case I doubt there was any sent up here.

Saying that if you happen to find a Cdn source let me know as i am interested in one as well.

It is my understanding that the LR and HR2 are back to the drawing board.

The 22 Mag and 17HMR are still shipping with some wood removal in the stock area.

Try one of the shops that have orders going to Brownells.

Hi,
Thanks for response, I did some more digging and found out that Western Gun Parts in Edmonton is bringing them in. They didn't say any think about recall, just that there is big demand for them end you have to put your name on the list to get one. (approx. $112)

I almost bought one when they first came out, but I'm glad I didn't now. If you go to rimfirecentral you'll see a lot of threads by guys who had problems with theirs. One member even sent in his rifle as a test copy because Timney didn't realize the triggers are different for the .22 LR and .17 Cal guns.

I even spoke with Timney late last year and they admitted they are still having problems. I would give them some time. Timney makes a great product, but they just don't have the CZ 452 trigger quite yet.

I ended up buying the Automation Solutions Adustable Sear, but have not installed it yet.

I'm not trying to talk you out of buying a Timney trigger for your 452, but the triggers they come with are very easy to work on, probably because like the rest of the rifle, they're pretty good in the first place. A little careful honeing and decreaseing of spring tensions can really make a difference in the amount of force needed to pull the trigger and reduce creep. bearhunter

Hi,
I did work on the trigger pull weight, it's good now, but I can't get rid of the creep, I was thinking installing set screw that would keep the creep to minimum.
