TiN Coated vs Stainless Barrel

Looking at a new barrel for my Glock. Aside from the appearance, what advantages does the TiN coating give a barrel over just a stainless version?

Very very hard and has a good coefficient of friction.

I'd still go stainless personally.

I do like the gold color, but not sure I see the value in the coating itself. I'll have to think about it. The difference is about 80 bucks for anyone wondering.
