Got this Rem700 f-class, 28" heavy barrel W308, last summer from second hand.
First I did some sanding and re-painting to the synthetic stock, not much invested, I had some leftover rattle cans in my garage for a long while.
But also added a long arca rail and a sled for the front ssled and rear rests.

The gun shoots OKish groups @ 300 from a bench, I am trying to improve there as much possible now with diy reloading.
But I think the fore end is a bit on light side. Also the grip handle is huge to my liking.
What I like the shape of the cheek weld has a clearance, I am anchoring on my jaw bone and kind a like it better.

So far shooting it from a bench @ 200-300M, tried with table top tripods also with Rempel ski pod, I feel the fore-end is light and with both rests shifts out of POA slightly.
I don't shoot from bipods, I hate those things and don't have any more. I hate to chase the bubble all the time, and I don't.....
I have one above the barrel mount Fortmeier, but I cannot mount it on this chassis.

These brings me to tinkering to get a "metal" full size chassis somewhere in the future. Target shooting in my mind, from the bench and f-class.
Looking at these many chassis online, also would prefer second hand if I can save some dollars.

I would not mind getting a skeleton stock that is modular, but heavy enough :)

competitionmachines looks good :)
the m-locks gives a lot of freedom to play with. Not sure what will do with scope view how the heat escapes from handrail.

I really prefer to have an option, arca rail on bottom and arca or pic mount on top.
Exchangeable AR grips with thumb shelf.
