What's your opinion on this new'ish inflatable decoy?
Bass Pro has the combo buck/doe, thinking about getting one.
They're lightweight, durable, looks real(ish) and easily stowed.

I bought/used one last year... Very light and easy to carry into the field, not bad looking once its set up. I found that after the first time inflating I just left it inflated as it was way too much of a pain in the ass to deflate and blow it up every time. But even inflated I would have my backpack on and carry my bow in and that thing weighed nothing so to me it was good. If your planning on getting it and blowing it up each time you go hunt, you'll be sick of it in no time.

I think the damned thing looks goofy and is a bit small.
And I formed that opinion when I looked at the first ones in Vegas at Shot.

But, I shot a 265lb eight pointer with my crossbow a few years ago, by kneeling, and hiding behind the crossbow, so he thought I was another deer with funny crossbow antlers.
He carefully walked to within easy range, and I was out in the open, in solid green coveralls with face camo.

Therefore, it should work just fine, and I may get one myself.

1x doe @ Crappy Tire for $65
OR
1x doe/1x buck combo @ Bass Pro for $120

I've only used a decoy once before (was an old shot up 3D target) and it worked. Brought a buck away from his doe just long enuf to put a 250gr SST thru his heart. I'm hoping that with Miss November she'll distract a buck or doe just long enuf to put a 125gr bolt thru the heart from my Excalibur ;)

I bought one at a gun show for $20 - I've seen them for $59 to $79.

A couple of weeks later I saw a similar product at Princess Auto (chinese) for $30 - but this one included a battery operated pump that seems to work on both. The colour of the Chinese one isn't as good as Tinks, (its a little larger though) but I plan to give them both a try during this fall's bowhunt.

Let me know how you make out with your hunt :)

I would think it would bounce around in any kind of wind. I have one of these.

I have had does walk right up to it, and eat beside it, and one that even licked it.

Well then that's just 1 more reason to get one. Maybe the wind blowing & bouncing it calms the deer with its movement?
