Has anyone found a good way to tint JB Weld, I use it for bedding in stocks, bedding scope rails and bases that don't fit perfectly, as well as a multitude of other things. I have used the tint that came with Acraglass with good results, but what I had is used up. Black and brown primarily.
I email JB but got no reply. I haven't done any other experimenting, the Acraglass tint didn't appear to compromise the hardening or strength.

Acraglas Dye is (or at least was) available in 1 fluid ounce containers from Brownell's. I bought Brown and Black in 2017 - at least then, there was no trouble to mail to me in rural Manitoba.

I use Mohawk brand pigment powders. A little goes a long way, barely changing the thickness of the blended epoxy. Works well with epoxy putties as well though adhesion of putty can be more sensitive if adding too much powder. I just happen to have a lot of Mohawk pigments on hand for various colour matching in retouching musical instrument varnish over grafting repairs or worn areas. In that application the amount of pigment powder added is typically trivial compared to colouring epoxies.

I asked a friend at a hardware store to get me some paint pigment in black and brown, I’ve mixed it with clear epoxy and jb weld and steel stick putty, it worked great. Most hardware stores will give you a few squirts if you bring a smaller covered container in

Paint pigment is oil based, will weaken the epoxy .Just use epoxy pigment try your local fibeglass or marine store. You can get away with polyester resin tint too ,at least it is not an oil

Dozens of ads for it on Amazon. As stated, a tiny bit goes a long way, and in the case of JB Weld, you're working with/against its grey colour.
