Anyone familiar with these shelters? I think it will suit my purpose but I'd like to have some honest reviews. My 10 yr old son and I will be using this for our camping/ hunting and fishing trips. Easy to haul in my Jeep and quick to setup. And it comes from a Canadian company in my area

I use a Kifaru tipi, a very similar design. Floor space needs to be much larger than you'd think to have adequate room inside, because of the sloped roof/walls. Mine is rated for 8 people and is about right for 3-4. Not sure about the tipitent details, but the Kifaru could benefit from a peak vent - when using the little wood stove, there is no place for evaporation to easily leave the tent. I like my tipi and have used it on some fly - in trips and some winter camping. it is versatile and light.

Mine is A Kifaru. Made in USA. Nylon tipi, and the wood stove is also made by Kifaru and made of stainless steel. The stove "rolls" up into a very small package. Kinda fragile, but it does work well.

That looks cozy. Nothing like carving out a little piece of comfort in an otherwise harsh environment. I guess the guy with the crappiest sleeping bag starts the morning fire?
