Anyone know of a place to get some parts titanium nitride coated TiN in Canada, preferably Alberta?
I googled it and could only find a couple places in Ontario... one of which has horrendous reviews.

So far I’ve found the following that do TiN:

sjhardware
red tower armoury
firearms outlet Canada
CDNgunworx
L'Armurier / Unikguns

And two industrial places (maybe): sputtek and rejent tool

Has anyone used any of these guys listed before? Comments? Reviews? Pics?

edit: rejent tool does not do TiN - confirmed

Any pics? Gun related or non?

We make parts for stamping dies (e.g., we sent 30 V4E punches to them yesterday to get coated before we ship to our customer - that customer uses one of these particular punches to make the "tongue" in a brand of seat-belt - 72 hits a minute, all day, every day - they wear out and break so we have a standing order)

I think that Voestalpine would take just about any metal. Others - Waterloo Electroplating http://waterlooelectroplating.com/

All that said - for these coatings a highly polished surface helps. I don't know about non-hardened materials, though - we usually send hardened materials to Voestalpine and a variety of things to Waterloo (e.g., yesterday was hardened steels, but we've had hard anodizing on aluminum there, too)

Gun related? - no - not at our shop. We have hunters and shooters on the machines but it's strictly tool-and-die. I may have some pics on my phone but they're usually from earlier in the process.
