Titegroup and the 9mm

It's nice to see it in stock but $38/lb is way too much. Le Barons sells it for $24/lb.

Thought it was $28?

Yeah, more pricy than a few years back when it was $22, but I'm not going to chance running dry to save a few bucks when it doesn't even equate to a penny per round difference.

Plus with those cheap Russian primers we now have it kinda balances out :)

$161 shipping for 2lbs of powder from cabelas. No joke (although I thought it was a joke). They must be sending it via the middle east and maybe through an active volcano for that price. Guess I'll keep searching

Can't imagine where you are shipping it to? I just ordered 5 lbs shipped to BC, $144.95 + $14.95 shipping, works out to $32 per pound. Not bad, it's better than driving all over the lower mainland trying to find the stuff.

It did just eat up my Dominion Primer savings, but whatcha gonna do if you want to shoot. It's not like this stuff is going to go down in price as time goes on.

BTW thanks to the OP for the post so I could check for stock online.

You're right - it's $28.99 now. I could have sworn it was $38.99 last week!

Shipping to ONTARIO. It was a $137 order (a couple of dies sets, some powder measure scoops and 2 lbs of powder!!)

As follows:

Due to the hazardous nature of your order there are extra freight charges as follows:

$161.88
Please advise how you would like to proceed.

***edit. When I ordered the shipping charges were $14.95 this email just arrived with the extra charges. When did you order and have they shipped yet??

That's the standard shipping cost. When you checked out of your shopping cart, there was a message in red that because of the nature of the goods, there would be additional shipping charges that could not be estimated at that time and someone from Cabella's would be following up with the costs later. I just got an email for 8lbs shipped to Vancouver:

"Due to the dangerous nature of the powders on your order, there are additional shipping charges required. The shipping for the powders would be an additional $150.42 and would be shipped with Day & Ross as Canada Post
and UPS will not handle these items. The rest of the order can be delivered without any additional charges. Please advise how you would like to proceed."

I think I'm going to pass on this. Just wish there was a Cabella's in the GVRD. I believe they can ship it to your local store at NC for you to pickup.

I shoot IPSC and all I use is Titegroup for my 9mm. Behind a 124gr bullet @3.8grain and 1.11OAL it pushes 127 power factor. Which is perfect.

Yeah don't understand it. I've had powder shipped from budget shooter supply via canpar for regular charges. Day and Ross (whoever the hell that is) can suck my left nut.

Yup, the honeymoon is over, just received this email from Cabela's as well:

Well screw that. I could have it shipped to the Nanaimo store for free, take a ferry both ways to pick it up and still come out cheaper!

Canpar will ship it for a lot less. I wrote them and suggested they fire their brother in law or whoever day and ross is, or take powder and ammo off their website if that's their shipping policy. If they threw a free 10/22 in with the order then maybe.....

I bet Adrien over there at Cabela's is fielding a bunch of emails. He said that he will ship it to Nanaimo for free. So if I can get someone in Nanaimo to pick it up and re-ship it Canpar to me, I think it may actually work!

It was a girl that responded to me. I guess I was a bit put off with the whole "yep, we'll cancel your order, sorry about your luck, order again cuz we rule" feeling to the response that really bugged me. How about a little "wow, yeah that IS an insane shipping quote, really sorry about that"?

I can't wait until powder is back in stock locally so I don't even have to think about this kind of nonsense. I think I can ship an automobile to barrie for less than $160.
