Disruptions to powder supply - AP70N
4 February 2014
We regret to inform reloaders that, due to an ongoing issue affecting the production of AP70N, we will not be able to supply AP70N until the middle of 2014. Please note that none of our other powders are affected, we continue to produce and stock our entire range of reloading powders. We regret any inconvenience caused by this disruption.

So my info was right. They had stopped making it. Good news is that I just got a report from the USA that it has just appeared in some Cabelas stores. We should be able to buy an 8 pounder mid next year.

My wife sometimes comes into the loading room to say something. After she does, I cycle the Dillon to clear the plate and start over again. An interruption is about the only way my automatic cycle of loading could get screwed up.

When teaching newbies how to load, I always suggest IMR7625 as a powder. It is bulky and a double charge would over flow most cases. They stopped making it this year. Another good medium speed powder that meters well is Clays Universal. They also stopped making that one, too.

TiteGroup, Bullseye and 231 can all double charge a case. I did it twice. Once broke a 357. The other was a mild load in a 44Mag that my Blackhawk digested OK.

Get you head and eyes back into the game after an interruption.

Exactly... and precisely why I swear by my 650's, both have the powder charge warning die. Not only do I rely on the "buzzer"... my focal point every time I pull the lever is on the powder indicator rod. It would have to be a combination of monumental mistakes on my part to have a double charge occur.
