Has anyone purchased one of these kits from True North Arms? Almost seems too good to be true for the price but very tempting.

just put one together thisafternoon. I couldn't not buy one at this price, so I bought 3. ive lost count of how many AR15s ive put together, and im also a stag 10 fan had quiet a few through my hands.

assembly went smooth all but for one hitch. there is plenty of room for upgraded parts but as is its a totally functional rifle. upper lower fit is as good as the stag. I like the proprietary threaded pin for the rear take down pin and the bolt release. haven't shot it yet was to late in the day, but im very happy so far. at the price I wont mind so much if it gets scuffed up in the truck or tractor.

as to finding some giant scratches or scuffs, I couldn't find any . nothing obvious

BLEM stands for the wrong size handguard?? yes they are 1/16" low. and they say that in the add. some might not be able to live with that. only affects things if you run open sites.
 
I'm assuming you could just put a different handgaurd on if it really bothered someone that much. Thanks for the detailed reply Beater!

Would you say it's worth acquiring the tools to build your own or pay for the assembly and test firing?
