cartride length is the biggest issue with feeding at least with .308 as nato spec ball measures 2.77inches and most commercial measures 2.60 if its too short the belt twists and wont feed in the gun link does not feed in mine as i only have 30-06 link using it on 308 perhaps proper .308 izzy link will work cloth runs like a dream im a wepons tech fortunatly the theroy of of is quite similar to a ma deauce so trouble shooting was easier . headspace feed arm angle, ammo ,feeler guage cam plate for eccesive slack or tighteness extractor spring wear in the feed channel bent or kinked recoil spring trigger bar angle, barrel bushing correct size for .308 and not a 30-06 one oh and lastly the one that is quite popular is the belt holding pawl tension often the pawl is too strong and the rounds will not snap over it they say to clip one to two coils off ,no more than that and that helps. if anyone has issues regarding the gpmg please pm me i also have copies of 1st 2nd 3rd and 4th line maintenance available hope this helps
