I got a chance to handle the TNW Aero Survival Rifle on the weekend at the Knob Creek Machine Gun Shoot. I never actually fired it as it was for sale at the TNW booth but did get to play with it a bit.
The good - the quick barrel change design is really neat. If you were looking to swap calibres on a regular basis you would like the design. It is quite light & would make a good backpacking rifle. The US price was in the $600 range. Not sure what it will sell for here but based on that it should be in the ball park with the JR Carbine & the Thureon Defense carbines.
The bad - the trigger was just plain awful. It was mushy and long and had a 'muddy' feeling when the hammer fell. This was compounded by the fact that the trigger guard opening is unusually small and if you have fairly big fingers like I do it does not feel at all comfortable. I have a JR carbine and it is far more comfortable to hold and shoot.
The ?? - the forend is very slim. Some may like it and some may find it too small for them. It does not have any rails so accessory mounting is limited.
I would suggest that if you are contemplating buying one you handle it first. While it does have some good points there is some disappointment potential there as well if you get one sight unseen.
Just my two cents.
