The TNW Aero Survival Rifle is a great option and popular choice of civilian pilots and aircrews, as well as outdoors enthusiasts looking for a companion carbine with more power than a .22LR. Its takedown format ensures portability and easy storage even in cramped boats, aircraft, and trucks, yet the design is rugged enough for use in conditions where other takedown mechanisms might fail. Assembling in just seconds from its disassembled storage state, the very lightweight Aero Survival Rifle is engineered to be quick to get into action and accurate enough to take confident shots on game out to intermediate ranges using a variety of proven 9mm ammunition and extremely reliable Glock magazines. The Aero Survival Rifle is the ideal choice for ranch or range target shooting and makes centerfire marksmanship training affordable thanks to its pistol caliber chambering.

The rifle includes a fixed 4x scope and ring set for use with the railed receiver, perfect for bright light collection and accurate shots as far as you can sling 9mm. Unlike earlier production runs of Aero Survival Rifle employing basic M4 furniture, the current run of Aero Survival Rifle uses pistol grip and stock with improved ergonomics and sling mount options, for superior handling in the field for long periods of time, making it a comfortable and capable woodsman's rifle for any shooter who enjoys the Canadian outdoors. The adjustable length of pull ensures shooters of all statures will be able to find a convenient fit for their stance. The Aero Survival Rifle is non-restricted and is approved for use with pistol magazines, meaning it's 10 rounds of 9mm that can go anywhere you do!

nice unit,,but priced in Thureon Defense area,,,,can it compete,,i'm actually looking at building a 9mm Ar,,,but non-restricted would be nice,,

I bought one there not very well built plus the barrel kits r the same price as buying a whole new gun so think twice before buying

Last round lock open?

... It does not.

Lame.

Because you say so?
They are a purpose built firearm....survival ..as in the name. Aero Survival Rifle, minimalistic, quick easy to operate and function.

Scope does suck, but that is besides the point, optics for a chosen function are very much a personal thing.
They use Glock 17 mags or you can use the KCI Glock 17 type mags and they fit perfectly.

Either KCI or the Glock will load easily loaded or empty and either will drop freely from the mag well loaded or empty.

They do not use a mil.spec buffer tube.

So, as for the implied draw back of no last round bolt hold back, there are more features that compensate for one minor drawback.

There is a store in the LML that had a .45conversion kit for the ASR, but it would be cheaper to buy the whole gun in the .45.

A very unique firearm and fun too, just wasn't my cup of tea..so to speak.

Thanks to stores like Wanstalls for keeping the shooting sports interesting.

Yep, as soon as they start selling 22lr or 22wmr conversion kits....then im all over one

I suspect you will be waiting for quite a while. They promised a 22lr at least 2 years ago, and it hasn't materialized yet (and lately, they don't even mention .22lr or .22wmr). The newest things they have come out with are conversion kits for 10mm auto and 357 SIG. So they now run 5 potential calibers - 9mm Luger, .40 S&W, .45 ACP, 10mm Auto, and 357 SIG.

I do have to point out that custom hand-loaded 10mm Auto approximates .41 MAG, which is pretty serious medicine.
