The KCI glock mag that came with the gun seems to work fairly well, i bought a factory glock G17 10rnd mag for it, but it appears to fit more loosely than the KCI, it also has a plastic numb on the follower that interferes with the guns bolt closing after the last round has been fired. Plus the follower spring strikes me as being RIDICULOUSLY tight, especially for the last 2 rnds.

anyways, im not exactly impressed by the glock g17 mag. But i want to buy 2 more mags for this gun. How are the KCI's running in your ASR's ? i noticed there are all sorts of different types of glock mags out there, which ones are you running?

I found that I need to modify the follower on the glock mags but it's a 5 second job. Just need to trim the bump off the rear of the follower and your good to go.
I'm not really a big fan of the KCIs but really like the new magpul glock mags. Great mag and cheap!

I would be impressed with the mags and less impressed with the oops in tnw'part when designing the damn thing lol.
Tnw's fix is to modify the follower with a dremel so the bolt doesn't try to smash it out of the mag.

I have now tested the KCI, genuine Glock, and the new Mapul Pmag for the glock ... in my TNW ASR. So far my experience has been, **(for the TNW ASR)** the KCI's are the best, Pmags alright, and the Genuine Glock mags are the worst.

The KCI mag seems to cycle without any hickups 80% of the time. and when there is a hickup, it appears to always be an initial feed issue (cartridge jams on the feed ramp after loading mag and letting the bolt fly forward) The KCI mag also fits slightly loose in the ASR's magwell.

The Magpul mag sticks out the bottom of the gun further, and Jams occasionally while cycling (failure to eject) the mag also seems to fit a little looser than the KCI

The Genuine Glock mag is the worst, especially since it cost TWICE as much as the other mags. The last 2 rnds are very tight to fit into the mag, it fits very loosely in the ASR and jams as often as the Magpul. Plus that plastic numb on the follower does need to be ground down.

SO far my observation is that the designers at TNW made the mag well for the ASR just alittle to big. And that the slop in the mags causes the round to sometimes feed poorly. I am planning to wrap a portion of the mags in electrical tape and see if that reduces the play and solves the guns cycling issues.
