Which one do you prefer, and why?

Looking for a reliable option that will shoot nothing fancy 9mm ammo until I finally get my handgun transfer done.

Both on the new ban list, in case you missed that. Once signed into law, which is likely considering the NDP deal with the Liberals, you won't be legally able to take either out of your home to shoot.

Besides that, I've not shot the Ruger, only handled one when a friend bought one of the first to arrive here. It felt rock solid, front-heavy. He says it's front-heavy but fantastically reliable, never fails to cycle with any random thing he loads into it. He bought a second one because he likes it so much.

I've shot my TNW ASR a lot. Like it a lot, but that's mostly because of all the modifications I planned before even ordering one and then executed, to make it reliable with one heavy cartridge, as I only use 147gr in it. Don't know how it might function with lighter or faster rounds, don't care. A tinkerer's firearm in my opinion, but a solid design and good materials from which to adapt if you can figure such things out.

So for a shoot it and forget about it option with decent accuracy, go for the Ruger.

They say some will trade freedom for security. Trust NDP to trade freedom for the promise of clean teeth and drugs that cost just as much but managed by the fed man instead of the provincial man.

Yes they are both on the proposed ban list but I have both and would vote in favour of the Ruger PCC. The Ruger is more reliable and I have had no issues with FTF or FTE. My TNW 9mm took a lot of playing with to make it run reliable. The 2 protruding locking screw s on the lower receiver may come loose over time and this will cause feeding issues. I also had to adjust the spring in the buffer tube as well. Its a great shooter now but it was a bit of trial and error to get it to run .

Not really concerned with the ban list.

Shouldered the pc-9 and tnw tonight....Definitely different feeling firearms. Seems the pc-9 edges out the tnw though in a few ways from what research I have done on both.

Thanks for the opinions.

Ruger by far. Had 2 TWN ASR they are both gone but the ruger stays. The QA and reliability on the ASR just isn't there . Not to say ruger doesn't have QA issues but they are light years ahead .
