To anyone who says a Savage 10FCP can't shoot "out of the box"...

Thanks for the compliments, fellas - and this was shooting with the forend rested on my folded jacket/spotting scope case, with the rear end hand-supported. I'd love to see what she can do out of a proper fine-adjustable clamp rest (which I just happen to be building at the moment :D).

To answer the twist question (which has already been answered correctly by Katana), it's a 1-10".

I get goosebumps every time I think about this gun; at first I wondered if I'd regret selling my Tikka T3 Lite in .300WSM, but then I got this thing dialed in and don't think I'll have anything to worry about... and I still get that stupid grin on my face every time I ring the gong @ 300yd with absolute boring regularity.

DOCM,
I think YOU can shoot!

Thanks warren - having shot plenty with an iron-sighted No.5 Mk.I Enfield as a kid, I learned how to control my point of aim pretty well, so now that it's got a 4.5-14x Leupold on there a target looks as big as a hot air balloon LOL!

im glad to here you like the 10 fp , i was shocked as well at how well they shoot for out of the box gun , i swaped out my factory stock for a choate ultimate varmint now the fun realy begins

Where have you guys been getting your stocks from? I have been looking at the SSS sight but where to get thte HS ?/ I want to shoot like that too...

I also have a 10fcp with the HS precision stock. I have a bushnell 3200 elite on it with burris signature rings. I went from the hated remington 710 to this gun, so it is more than a world of difference. 3 shot groups in the .75 range seems to be the norm if I do my part. Even when I know I am being impatient or making mistakes the gun still keeps the groups tight. As for ###y looks that HS precision stock looks awesome and feels sooooooo good to shoot with the higher than normal butt and beefy grip. I didn't even buy this gun as a target gun I bought it to go hunting with. It is going to be one heavy ass hunting gun but I am so excited! Only down side I can think of is that I don't trust the front sling studs in the hs stock given the weight of the gun etc.

Mine was factory-jobbed; apparently HS doesn't make this model of stock for retail sale separately since they can't even keep up to Savage's demand for the specially-stocked model 10's.

That's what I've been told, anyway.

Savage's are ugly. No two ways about it. Of course I LOVE my ugly Savages. They shoot pretty and that is what really counts

I have a 12FV in 243 that I can depend on to shoot 0.75 inches or less unless I screw up. My Model 10FCM Scout hovers around 1-1.25 inches with a scope and is a dream to carry in the bush while dogging.

Now if only they chambered in 6.5x55 or 260 Remington....

Just a thread revive here, but I wish the scout came in a lefty version...

Your right on that point. We are also an HS dealer and handle lots of stocks (mostly Rem 700) but they are not offering this stock as a purchase directly from them yet...you have to buy it with the Savage rifle attached to it. Phil.
