I just narrowly missed out on getting a full-sized Girsan Yavuz 16 Regard 9mm (Beretta 92F/FS Clone) from SRFC, and now they're all sold out. I have a gift certificate there, so while I'd prefer the full-size to the compact, I'm seriously considering picking up a compact from them since they still have them in stock. I could wait for them to re-stock the full-size, but based on how long that seems to be taking for other vendors and the unrest in Turkey, I could be waiting a really long time.
Honestly, the only reason I can think of to hold out for the full-size is that they seem to hold better resale value. I guess if they're lighter they probably have slightly more recoil too, but they don't actually look all that different size-wize.
What do you guys think? Is there a compelling reason to get, or not to get the compact over the full-size? Beretta guys, what do you think of the regular 92FS vs. the compact one?
