to crimp or not to crimp

i just started reloading a while back and have always crimped but i just tried loading some barnes x bullets and and the crimp groove puts the bullet seeting what i think could be to far below the proper o/a bullet length.How short is to short.Its 150 tipped-tsx in 7mm mag.Any info would bee handy.Or should i even crimp them.

No need to crimp them! unless it in a tube magazine.

I wouldn't bother with a crimp on a 7mm mag, it's not necessary.
