To crimp or not

I am a big fan of factory crimp dies on riflecartridges, but I wonder if anyone has a negative commnent about them. I saw something that said they shortened brass life, I guess that thought is concerning neck splitting. Is there anything else to report about them, I know that even with the factory crimp, the bullets stay put. I read the post about having a case full of powder burn in your magazine if a bullet moves, I have never though of that, or heard
of it happening. It would certainly be a suprise, and when the primer in the case fired, I am sure it would be a new kind of excitement. I think it excellent, and i reccomend them to anyone, they make your neck tension even, and bullets stay in place, and to go beyond the obovious, they make cartridges even more water tight.
