To Cutts or not to Cutts?

My Dad has one on his Ithaca 37. He shoots it real well.

I hate it.

Being beside him in the duck blind is painful.

As for ugly...what do I know? I love Poly-Chokes.

He doesn't shoot much any more due to his age but one of the best skeet shooters I have ever shot with used a model 12 high grade skeet with a cutts.
Was never hard to tell from the club house when he was shooting, quite a bark out of it
 
I had one on a Model 50 Skeet gun. With the Spreader tube installed all kinds of animals kept trying to crawl down it. It was DEADLY on 30 yard mallards with #4 steel.... I do like the retro look. You either like muzzle devices or you don't.

Sure are and for me I just cannot shoot a gun with one on it. I never see the barrel or bead when I shoot but pick up a gun with a poly or cutts and I cannot take my eyes off it and miss.
 
My Ithaca skeet gun has one on it with an adjustable choke, Also picked up a full choke for it too. Shoots well enough, but loud as all hell.
 
I have a pair of pre war Winchester Model 12's with cutts that I use at the range often. One is a little 20g pigeon grade that someone added a cutts to - I let all the new shooters and some of the petite girls shoot it mostly. It has no real recoil with target loads and is one of the slickest pump guns I have ever owned. The other is a 12g skeet model with a factory cutts that I picked up last year. Works great but definately has a bark to it.

I like the cutts compensators. People beside me...not so much.
 
I've got a Cutts on the end of my 410 Remington 11-48. The way the Cutts sits makes the sight picture look a lot like its a 12 gauge barrel out there, so I like it. Sure makes that little gun bark though!
 
I love 'em, owned five at one time or another - what's not to like about a Briggs and Stratton accessory, anyway!
The boyz at the club were looking for a B&S patch for me for a while, i would have sewn it on , too!!;)
