I reloaded about 9 rounds this morning before I noticed that my charge was off about 2 grains to high (27 instead of 25).... The scale I got with my kit isn't exactly the easiest to read.... (new one is to be bought next time I'm out at the store)

Being rather new to this reloading stuff, I'm not sure what I should do. Do I get a bullet puller and empty the cases and reload?
Should I use them anyway??

Thoughts? Opinions?

Load is as follows - 27gr powder behind a 68gr bullet
Gun is an AR 180.

Which powder is it? The particular powder will determine the maximum safe load.

This is a good website to get load info from:

Anyway, there are kinetic bullet bullers (look like a hammer) or bullet pulling dies you can buy. But if it's just 9 rounds and you don't want to go to the trouble, save them and dump them in the misfire box at the range.

Take your die out
Put cartridge to be disassembled in the press
Raise the ram
Put some pliers on the bullet (with maybe some cloth or something between the plier jaws and the bullet)
Pull the press handle down.

Even with all the manual work, it should only take you like a minute to do 9 rounds.

27grns of Varget is at or just over the very top end of the .223 load, I know a few F-Class shooters who use more but with custom actions.

I would get a bullet puller and just pull them.

If your thinking of getting a kinetic puller, you ought to just bite the bullet and get a collet puller. Trust me, you will have half a box of loads to pull one day, the kinetics are great for a few rounds, but if you have to do a bunch (25+) you'll definitely wish you had a collet puller.

Is it really worth risking injury or damaging your rifle to save the trouble of breaking down these few rounds?

You have been given good advice by many of the guys who replied. Get a kinetic bullet puller, it's an essential item for everyone who reloads.

You will probably have occasion to use it again.:D

I have used 26 gr of Varget with 69 gr bullets in neck sized civilian cases but even that is hard on brass and flattens primers so I agree, pull the bullets.

I use a kinetic puller if I only have a few to pull and a collet puller is I screwed up a whole batch.

Flattened primers with 26grns of Varget? I use this load almost exclusively and have yet to see any signs of pressure in a Tikka, Savage or a Remington LTR (The LTR is a buddies)

Me too, and I don't get any pressure signs in my Stag AR15 either... but of course YMMV.
