I hate when I see these threads so forgive me but I need a push one direction or the other because it has been on my mind for a few months now I can't seem to decide.

Keep the Henry Golden Boy Deluxe. Good rifle light to carry around, classy looking. I wouldn't shoot it in the gopher fields because I would take a .17 HMR everytime.

OR

Sell it to fund a Volquartsen .17 HMR similar to the ones below. I would go witht he Deluxe Model, no comp and with a McMillian sporter stock.

I am not a paper puncher so when I go out gopher shooting I would take a .17 HMR over my .22LR anyday. However, on the occasion when I do plink this rifle is great for learning how to shoot with open sights.

So, what to do????
Ammo price is no object.
I don't really want to wait to save up the $$$$ as I would like to order a VQ (if that is the way I am leaning) right away so I have it for spring.

???? Dumb post but I need some help :)

What would you do??

Up to you but I'd keep the Henry. 17's are nice but I don't think they offer enough over good old 22 to justify being considerably more expensive just my .02$.

Hello Bull's-Eye

Being an owner of a Golden Boy, I would keep the Golden Boy Deluxe.
Mainly because you will not sell it for near what's it's worth...If I'm not mistaken, they start around $1500?
The average price for a plain Golden Boy is $460.
Some people might not justify paying another $1000 for the engraved receiver cover and back strap.
That is a fantastic looking rifle....would be a shame not to keep it.
