Today's BAR and the WW2 BAR, whats the diff?

Other than similiar names, what's the real difference between the two?
Just nicer stocks, nicer finish, a few different calibers, and tweaked for accuracy?
Or a whole different animal, just sharing a similiar name for marketing purposes?

Same name, nothing else, utterly different firearms.

the ww2 bar is a light machine gun- only the name is similar-the ww2 bar *actually m1918- ww1 almost) browning automatic rifle- was designed by john moses ,and was his version of an automatic rifle in every sense of the word, and manufactured by various companies over the years - - the bar you see commercially is manufactured by browning the company and is a semi-automatic hunting rifle in various calibers- also called a browning automatic rifle- they're taking a little license, since everyone else also calls their semi-auto rifle an "automatic"

Huge dif. I'd take a new BAR for an old one any day.

They operate in two completely different manners, Browning just tried to capitalize on the BAR mystique when they brought out their current rifle.
