So I decided it was time to take my little guy on his first duck hunt and he did great!!! He sat back and watched,..kept occupied counting the empty hulls and peeking at the ducks..lol
He has been hunting with me since he was a year and a half old..first time for ducks though...
He had fun !!
We put the decoys out ( we only use between 6 and 12 depending on the weather) and tucked away and got ready.
If you saw my thread of our duckhunt from a few days ago, this was a repeat performance with a limit in just under 2 hours (including setup and takedown time)
It was fast and furious !!!!! Landing gear down and in your face...
I was shooting a mix of Kent and Remington and Federal...
#2's, #3's and #5's...
My best shot was a fast passing shot about 30 yards and 3 feet off the water.
BANG ! It was dead before it hit the water...
when I opened the breech, I wanted to know which shell it was...
It was a Kent Shell (cheap ones) that got mixed in with the rest by accident...#6 shot, low brass Steel.
Anyhow, here are the pics...
