Had a very nice Lebanese Army G3 for the longest time (CA). Lovely rifle but, very expensive magazines. Also had a HK93, which I enjoyed immensely.

As insult to injury, just a few years after your G3 was made prohibited, but while you could still shoot it, Portugal released a huge lot of G3 components to the surplus market, and all those expensive accessories crashed in price. I remember at the gun show at Knob Creek seeing three 1 cubic yard boxes of G3 mags: first box was fair condition mags, $3; second box was good condition mags, $6; third box was new condition mags, $9. Bayonets, scope mounts, bipods and slings all crashed to a tenth of the price they had been while we could actually buy the guns to pair them with.

damn but I miss my G3... also apparently ex-Lebanese. Originally painted a bluish-grey, SEF trigger group CA., civvie forestock I believe; not black (grey), but definitely not the slimmer green f'stock. hashtag/memories
