No, apparently you can launch 9mm using the 7.62 mags....

9mm is shorter than 7.62x25

Maybe it will work for a couple of rounds

Since the feed lips aren't part of the mag, I've seen several reports of success using just the one mag

just make sure the 9mm are pushed to the front of the mag.

Yes you can use the 7.62 mag. The only difference is an indentation at the rear of the mag for the shorter 9mm cases. It will work, but will not be 100% reliable on feeding so don't get upset if a round or two doesn't feed every so often.
