Tokarev 9mm conversion

Im thinking about getting a 9mm barrel for the 7.62 Tok I just purchased. Do I *need* the special 9mm mag or will 9mm feed from the 7.62 mag?.....and if I need the 9mm mag does anyone know who sells them?
