Both sites sell Tokarev TT33S, but LeverArms is a lot cheaper. Has anyone bought from both sites? Is one better quality?

Or is there another site that sells good quality Tokarevs in Canada?

You can get brand new ones, not the cheapest but unissued, from a few of the sponsor vendors if you're interested in that.

The thing with surplus is that every batch will have some almost perfect brand new and some so/so ones, some guys cherry pick the best ones in store in person and then resell them for a few bucks profit on the EE, that can be a good way to go.

Call them and ask if they have the laser etching on the right side of the slide. The newer imports will have them, the older ones won't. AFAIK no one has any of the older imports left, but it's worth it to ask.

Beyond that...

Bought mine from Lever. Arrived in mail shortly after purchase. Couldn't be happier.

Post war usually have the upgraded hammer that help the firing pin not drag across the primer. If you want a beauty get the polish version really nice bluing and are unissued unfired!

Hey Bob! What does the upgraded hammer look like? Any obvious difference compared to the older ones? I was wondering about this situation when
looking at some casings that looked like the TT-33 had "swiped" the primer rather than striking it. One of these days I'm going to get me a TT-33!:d

Call them. Lever has always been great to me. They sent me what looks like an unfired post war all numbers matched including two mags TT-33 still in the grease. This was back when they didn't laser etch them so I don't know what their stock is like now. They've been really nice on the phone with me.

That's great, so, are there no refurb marks? I would like to get a non refurb Russian copy, I have the Polish ones and they look and work fantastic!

I just sent a message to them to see if these have the mark of the demons on them or are clean, good price, it says refurb, but as you said some were probably never fired and just thrown in with the bunch!
