Does anybody know where i could find some inserts for a Tokarev Sportowy. The gun is chambered in 7.62X25 with a .22 barrel. The inserts are the size and shape of a 7.62X25 round and you put as .22lr round in it.

i looked into having a machinist make me up a handful...........but the problem is they are a bi-metal contraption.........aluminum outside, with a little wee insert of steel on inside..........total nightmare to produce for a reasonable price.

I was able to buy some (8) off of a member here. I don't think there's any steel inserts on these ones. At least not enough for a magnet to attract. Tried them out. They feed and fire great. Not the best at an outdoor range, though, that's full of spent cartridges. Took 3 shots and then spent 45Mins looking for the inserts. Maybe paint them fluorescent or bring a spotter next time. Luckily I was the only one on the range so I was able to spend the time looking.

Head for Princess Auto, buy a huge cheap-oh TARP and 4 Tent Pegs.

Stake it out so that the Ejection Zone is in the middle of the Tarp. Should catch most of them.

Problem solved.

I have one I bought new years ago. I only used it indoors a couple of times. Kind of neat to try out, but a PITA to fiddle with. Jeez, now I'll have to dig mine out of the pile....

I can quite sympathise, guys.

I am shooting an Astra 400 "Water Pistol" and a 1911................................................ Steyr.

Just TRY finding your brass after the IPSC boys have paved the range with .38 Supers!!!!!

Yeah kinda new to pistols. Bought mine in Feb, but due to paper work, finding a club to shoot at, crappy weather etc. etc. ....... finally got to shoot it for the 1st time yesterday. Bitter-sweet, went bang when I pulled the trigger, and fed the next round, awesome, locating the inserts after, no so awesome.

I'm just impressed with the way it functions, and when you break it down into it's separate components, the simplicity of it.
