My Russian TT-33 jams almost every single shot. Ive tried 3 different types of ammo. Im not very experienced with handguns, so could anyone offer some advice on how to trouble shoot this? any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks!

I tired two different mags, both jammed. I dont think its a limb wrist problem because I shoot my 1911 regularly without any issues.

1911's are very forgiving,my daughter can shoot my 1911 all day with no jams, my Beretta 92 she can make jam ever other shot.

What kind of jams? Stovepipe? Fte? Over riding the next round in the mag?

it shoots the first round, ejects without issue, then jams the second shot against the chamber. Its definitely a feeding issue. Its not stove pipping at all and it definitely ejects well.

Have you made sure you've put it back together properly? The spring especially can be a right pain. If the spring is pushing the barrel, and therefore chamber, off a bit, I can see why there'd be a feeding issue, especially after firing it once, as it wouldn't reset properly.

Yup, check the spring, in particular ensuring that the tab at the rear is seated on the barrel and not sticking up.

So I took it all apart. cleaned it well. put it back together correctly, and took it out shooting. I've now realized that the problem is, my slide release is engaging after every shot. Anybody know how to fix this? Thanks again for your help.

1 check your grip and make sure your not inadvertently pushing up on the slide stop when you hold the gun under recoil.

2 take the mags apart and clean them out well

if it still does it

3 try it with a friends mags.
