I just received a Tokarev from Marstar, wondering if someone here has a manual or can point me to one. I have my work cut out cleaning this, although it might not be as bad as the last SKS i got:)

Mine just arrived from TradeEx yesterday. There are lots of field striping videos on YouTube. Some are better than others. I did get to spend a couple of hours getting familiar with it last night while bathing it in mineral spirits. Clean and pretty now.
 
I have one sitting in the safe still in cosmoline, a minty 1948. Right beside a 1945 one that has been slightly neglected and has minor pitting in the bore. It looks so nice i dont want to shoot it. But i do have about 5k rounds i need to get rid of before they expire. cuz ammo expires right? right??
 
I have a 1944 and I like it, I still have Nork model 54 new in the box. I got this when the tok t33 could not be found. do you guys think in a few years that all the supply of the original toks will dry up? I shoot mine but I take extra care of it, like most of my pistols but this to me has some history Sorry don't mean to side track. age
 
Now that I have it cleaned, I would like to check out the serial arsenal marks. It is pretty plain to see the resemblance to the early Brownings. Be interesting to to see where mine originates. Google is my friend today, last night my hands were covered in cosmo and spirits.
 
I've only got a Norinco M213 myself. But I have to say that the whole Tokarev design is bloody magnificent! The gun is a miracle of inspired design combined with elegant simplicity. The lift out action and hammer is brilliant as it allows for easy and complete cleaning with a minimum of strife.

If only the darn frame was a little longer and that it had a safety of some form (that actually works) I'd be shooting mine in some action shooting matches. But as it happens I'm stuck with simply enjoying the fact that it shoots admirably small groups that are as good or better than guns which cost three times as much or more.

I got one TT-33 from marstar too，the only issue is one of the mags holds only 7 rounds. I have to send it back for exchange…That's pretty annoying
