Yup; I've seen (crummy) re-furbs straight out of the box that had a bright steel solid pin rather than the blued split pin. Find the correct diameter, trim for length, and keep some spares in case it works its way loose.
Site sponsors Marstar and Tradex have lists of TT-33 parts, but are likely sold out of the firing pin retaining pin (even if you can put it in the shopping cart). As far as I know the TTs are not exported with extra parts (even though the military warehouses might have stores of spares); they get the pieces by tearing down (possibly sub-par) pistols from their shipments. Since this pin is the smallest bit when you do a partial strip of the pistol, and can be broken or de-formed if you drift it wrongly, it is the most commonly sought part and sells before all the other parts.
There are places in the U.S.A. that have parts from torn-down pistols, and at least one that manufactures a new pin, but you're not likely to find them shipping to Canada in contravention of ITAR rules.
Just about any Tokarev clone uses mostly the same parts.
